The Weldtite Jetvalve Repair Pod is a new all-in-one roadside puncture repair kit. Many cyclists these days consider a roadside puncture repair as a mission impossible, but this formidable-looking cluster of tools includes an inflator head, two CO2 cartridges, two nylon tyre levers and self-adhesive patches helps get the job done quicker than traditional methods.
Rubber straps keep everything together in your saddlebag or back pocket. When it goes on sale later this month, the pod will cost £22.99.
The inflator uses screw-on cartridges and works with Presta and Schrader valves.
Most cyclists prefer to carry a spare inner tube rather than try and undertake a repair at the roadside, but the Weldtite Jetvalve Repair Pod includes a strip of self-adhesive patches which are a useful back-up.
A CO2 inflator is a quicker and more compact way of inflating a bicycle tyre than a conventional pump, but it can weigh more depending on how many cartridges you carry.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it
It makes financial as well as environmental sense to repair an inner tube rather than replace it. It has become commonplace for cyclists to carry a spare inner tube. When it’s cold or wet, trying to patch a hole at the roadside is miserable, but it’s worth keeping hold of the damaged tube to repair at home.
Our three-minute guide shows you how to do so without breaking a sweat! You can now get repair kits that are suited to your own type of bike. Inner tube widths and pressures vary so Weldtite offers a wide range of repair kits to suit, from a narrow profile repair kit to an ‘Airtite’ kit, for example. Also, some of the kits have tools included and become more or less complete roadside repair kits.
ETA insurance for bikes includes Cycle Rescue – our special breakdown service for bikes. If you break down or suffer a puncture on your bike and can’t get moving again, we’ll come and recover you.
Environmentally friendly cycle insurance
On the face of it, one cycle insurance policy is much like another, but the devil is the detail. How much excess you will be charged is just one of the things that varies wildly between providers. Another is so called ‘new-for-old’ replacement – many insurers use this term, but if your bicycle is more than a few years old, devalue it severely. This means you are left out of pocket when you come to replace it. Read our insider guide to cycle insurance.
Furthermore, every cycle insurance policy you buy from us helps support the work of the ETA Trust, our charity campaigning for a cleaner, safer transport future.
ETA cycle insurance has a low standard excess of 5% (minimum £25) and offers a new-for-old for life – however old the bike, if it’s stolen you get enough to buy a new model.
For 25 years we have been providing straightforward, affordable bicycle insurance. Whether you use your bike to commute, shop, race or amble in the park, ETA Cycle Insurance has you covered. We never devalue bikes no matter their age, allow you to buy your replacement bike wherever you like, replace stolen quick release components and handle claims in-house.

Interesting I will be sure to get one though the most important thing to patch a puncture is surely a bowl of water to find the hole hence why people normally carry a spare tube.
