The book includes an entry on one of the ETA’s very own bicycle builds; the Hornster. Those of you familiar with the outlandish design will know that we built it as response to the danger posed to cyclists by heavy goods vehicles. The train horn fitted to the bike, and powered by a SCUBA air tank, is over 100 times louder than the horns fitted to lorries – an antedote to the tired excuse of sorry mate, I didn’t see you. The Hornster has been featured on television, in books and is the holder of a Guinness World Record.
