Get a Gripster on storing your bike inside

gripster wall protector

However carefully you lean your bike against an inside wall, tell-tale rubber marks and small chips to the plaster or wall paper are hard to avoid. Gripster is a rubber plug that attaches to the end of either a straight or drop handlebar – it helps prevent the bicycle from slipping or leaving marks and other damage.

A built-in magnet allows the Gripster to be stored on a radiator or fridge door when not in use.

ETA cycle insurance

Environmentally friendly cycle insurance

On the face of it, one cycle insurance policy is much like another, but the excess you are charged in the event of a claim is just one of the things that varies wildly between providers. Another is so called ‘new-for-old’ replacement – many insurers use this term, but if your bicycle is more than a few years old, devalue it severely. This means you are left out of pocket when you come to replace it.

ETA cycle insurance has a low standard excess of 5% (minimum £25) and offers a new-for-old for life – however old the bike, if it’s stolen you get enough to buy a new model. Furthermore, every cycle insurance policy you buy from us helps support the work of the ETA Trust, our charity campaigning for a cleaner, safer transport future – just one of the reasons The Good Shopping Guide has voted us Britain’s most ethical insurance company.

Although I like to think of the wall marks as a progressive art installation, I suspect my walls / wife will no doubt thank you if I’m lucky…

I LOVE this! What a simple idea. I have just painted my hallway, and am fed up with having to lean my bike against it with extreme care to not get those tell tale black marks on the wall. Please may I have one! Pretty please??! And do they work on children’s bikes as well??

This would be great, my bike even has a slightly convex bar end so that it risks falling over if it’s knocked.
