Carrying a cycle lock is a necessary evil, but using a HipLok makes the experience as stress-free and stylish as possible.
The British firm is currently offering 20% off its range of CLIP + RIDE locks while stocks last. Simply use the discount code CLIP+RIDE20 before the end of this month.
Hiplok is the creation of two British industrial designers and keen cyclists frustrated at having to carry their bike locks in a cumbersome bag or unsightly frame-mounted bracket. John Abrahams and Ben Smith took inspiration from bicycle couriers, who have long worn chains and cable locks around their waists or slung across their shoulders. The result of their research and development is a range eye catching, sturdy, but above all, easy-to-carry locks.

Another fantastic prize from ETA!
My current lock is only rated at Bronze level and is a pain to put away/get out of my bag each time, so this would be a BIG upgrade.
Mark
Very nice locks, British designed too!
Paul
You couldn’t make a lock more hip than this one; lock and load.
Faisal Choudhury
A great idea and sleek looks.
JonM
I haven’t bought a lock because I don’t have anywhere to carry it so this looks like a good idea.
Mark Brewerton
Pick me!

Lovely Lock !

If you’re going to just ‘pick a name’, please god let it be mine.
Paul Magnall
Having been knocked off my bike twice in recent years I worry about carrying hard objects around my person eg keys or phone in pockets or locks on belts. Landing on a hard surface is bad enough but having a hard object dig into me (keys in my pocket the first time) is extremely painful.
I’d love a new, secure lock but I will continue to carry it in my panier or strapped to the frame which is actually more convenient as then I won’t forget it!
Patrick Dowse
Let’s have it
S sc
Brilliant service and product!

Bike security is such a nightmare. This Hiplok looks to be a great help – practical to carry and a secure lock.

Great idea for carrying a D lock for a vintage bike as there is nowhere on the frame to attach the lock.

This actually looks like a brilliant solution. I’m always struggling for a place to store my old lock. Could do with an upgrade!
Gavin Wright
Now that’s a Funky Lock…
Sean Murphy
This lock looks amazing. I’ve seen the video demonstration of someone trying to cut through it with an angle grinder and the angle grinder disc breaks long before the lock. Looks like a top bit of kit!!

David Frith
Can’t fault this company for cost and customer service ⭐️
Patrick Corker
I am sure that the lovely people at ETA are delighted to pay out on bicycle-theft claims but, I’m guessing, they would probably agree that “prevention is better than cure”
Keith
It’s hip and it’s a lock. What more could you need?
Jon Pennycook
They look much easier to carry than my current lock.
Gavin
This looks interesting, I’m always using a Deuter bike bag to carry the current lock I own
Phil

Cal Turton

Hi with a normal D lock you need a ruck sack to carry it or a frame holder which dont fit all frames, get in the way of bottle cages and are unnecessary if you are not taking your D lock. This might do away with the need for a rucksack and help with touring when you need some security.
Nadine Isaac
I haven’t purchased my insurance yet and until I do, I shall not be leaving my bicycle anywhere. I’m saving up to buy ETA insurance as the benefits far outweigh the cost. They seem to have more care and cover for a lone cyclist. As a female, I wouldn’t want to be left stranded with a heavy ebike. I hadn’t heard of the Hiplock. What a great idea. There is limited room to even fit a lock on my step through bike.
Boyd
Yes please, it would be a great and long overdue replacement for the cheap as chips cable lock I bought from Woolworths in the 1980s!
lyndon jones
Hiplock looks great……fingers crossed
Susan Edwards
Hiplock is such a great idea. You can forget it’s there at all when riding, such a clever way to carry the weight on the body! Watch out you thieves!!!! ❤️🚴♀️
Judith
That bike lock is hardly likely to fit those of us with child bearing hips and / or those of us who need to wear more clothes. Cycling is not just for slim, fit, healthy young men and those who can manage without electrical assistance.
Mary Lloyd
Oh how lovely love one but never win!
Darryl Sunnick
Hands free carrying…love that. Looks good and gold rated too. Will visit site and have a read up!
Olly
My bike would love to meet this lock
James
A lock is far better than having cycle stein as I know from past experience away from home! Looks like a great tool to have
Tom White
The importance of security was brought home to me earlier this year when thieves destroyed a new and secure garage door to get at some bikes. I have Hiplok and Litelok products that now give me greater peace of mind. As well as keeping my bike with me in my bedroom
David Gray
Quite small but a good resting makes this a good option, especially if you switch bikes but want to use the one lock.
Steve Connolly
If a rider is knocked of his bike, will the bike lock then cause greater injuries?
Graham Corfield
A lock is essential these days, so one that is easy to carry and deploy is a huge bonus!! Count me in please!!
Donald Waters
These look so nifty, strong and light: the dream!
Jessica Mitchell
I already have a hiplock chainlock which is absolutely brilliant, but imagine combining with this DFX lock as well, my bike would be even more secure
Andrew Richardson
Looks like a handy lock for when I park my bike in town.
Gavin
Lock and Go.
FRAN MCLEAN
That would be perfect for my new gravel bike!
PeteG
Wow, a Hiplok DXF bicycle lock, what a neat way to take it on the ride without the worry of leaving the pride and joy unsecured.
Martin Baker
You can’t have too many locks.
Doug M
A Hiplok DFX would be a very welcome early Christmas present!
John Barber
I’d love to win the Hiplok DXF give-away 🙂
Steve K

Hipady dodar Hipady day my oh my what a wonderful day I’ll have if I win the lock.
COJONES
Is it true these Hiploks are so good that they are what the Police use them to lock themselves to their desks so they are unable to pursue bicycle thieves?
Peter Chisnall
Excellent product!
Dave
If cycling was permitted in all public buildings we wouldn’t need to carry heavy bike locks most of the time. It would also reduce the time taken to get round the supermarket.
Moragh Buchan
Would love a hiplock as it looks so easy to carry.
Colin Brewer
I’ve been getting by with a lightweight cable lock, but I do think it’s time to upgrade to a D-lock.
Helen
This would be perfect because my bike is too small to fit a normal D lock!
Paul Miller
Well surely the only thing better than a good bike lock is a free gold rated wearable bike lock. Yes please.
Jim W
What a great idea for a lock, would be much better than my current one. At the moment I use a cable combination lock.
Ema
Thank you in advance 😉
Chris Bromwich
Looks a sturdy piece of kit, certainly better than my rusty chain and padlock!
Deadmanjones
TBH my abus granit steel o flex is still going strong after 11 years, but always on the lookout for new ideas
Peter
My bike deserves one
Gabrielle Levine
These are such a great idea! After all our family’s bikes were stolen earlier this year – fortunately they were insured with ETA and I made a successful claim – I’ve recently replaced them, including my children’s bikes, but I’ve been struggling to work out how to carry enough locks on our ride to school so my children can lock their bikes. Carrying a bike lock in his bag isn’t an option for my youngest child as the lock makes the bag too heavy to be comfortable – and mounting lock brackets on small children’s bikes isn’t feasible. So a Hiplock seems like the solution to my problem as I can wear it and either carry in my bag or frame-mount the other lock I need for my bike.
Christine Thomas
Would love a lock. Be very hip
Andy
This is a great idea! The frame mounts always rattle and sometimes I don’t want to take out a bag or pannier. I’d give this a go..
Sarah
Looks perfect, convenient and secure.
Helen Jayne Allen
Looks great but is it long enough to get through bike and bars?!
Chris Grover
I’d love one of these hiplocks. Would it give me the legs of a cycle courier too?

Keith Bichard
Just got to have one!
Sue
This is the hippest gadget ever, I’d love one!
Colin
Well designed lock which would help protect my pride and joy.
Bill
After having had two bikes stolen in London, I too have had to resort to carrying a heavy chain with me whilst out cycling. One of these would be most welcome and much more convenient, I’m sure. Thanks for the opportunity of being in with a chance…
Madeleine
Would love the opportunity to win a hiplok! ☺️
Stignee
Priligy
Barry
That lock looks hip to me. Fastening to a bag strap sounds like the best idea.
Laurence Oliver
ETA Bike Recovery is a good way to have peace of mind when cycling away from your home.
