Keeping hands toasty at this time of year can be challenge – especially if you are cycling. Warmawear heated glove liners have a heating element running around the edges of all five fingers, right around the tips where you need heat the most. Heated gloves are of particular use to those who suffer from Raynaud’s – a common condition that affects blood circulation in fingers and toes when its cold.
The heated liners are designed to be worn under another pair of gloves or mittens in extreme conditions and boast the following features:
- 3 heat settings
- Heating elements that run down the sides and ends of the fingers where heat is needed most
- Discreet battery box with coiled cable so you can position it where it’s most convenient for you
- Washable
We have a pair of Warmawear (medium) heated gloves to give away. Simply leave a comment at the bottom of this page and we will pick a winner next week.
Ethical cycle insurance
On the face of it, one cycle insurance policy is much like another, but the devil is the detail. How much excess you will be charged is just one of the things that varies wildly between providers. Another is so called ‘new-for-old’ replacement – many insurers use this term, but if your bicycle is more than a few years old, devalue it severely. This means you are left out of pocket when you come to replace it.
With ETA cycle insurance, however old the bike, if it’s stolen you get enough to buy a new model.
For over 29 years we have been providing this kind of straightforward, affordable bicycle insurance. Little wonder The Good Shopping Guide judges us to be an ethical company like no other.

I would have given anything for a pair of these this morning. What a great idea!

Finally, a pair of gloves for the extreme weather that we experience here in the United Kingdom. I have no idea how we managed to survive the harsh winters without a pair of these beauties, but I’m sure glad we can now set our fingers on fire whilst burning rubber (well not quite) in the snow and winter conditions. I gather it would cause some issues if we stopped to throw some snow balls or build a snowman, but worth it all the same. Thank you!
Steve
They would be great for working in with the chainsaw to help combat white-finger.
Sarah
Heated gloves’d be super whist I wait to be able to afford that cute camper featured last week!
Alex
Perfect for cycling in the current temperatures. Mittens are great too but limit effective braking and gear changing.
AndyG
These look absolute toasty!
Keith
I’ve been waiting years for these! Yes please.
Heather Evans
I currently wear 6 pairs of gloves when cycling in really cold weather. All are very thin and slip in to one another, so this doesn’t affect breaking. As they only tend to keep my hands warm for about 30 minutes I’d love to try these heated gloves as I’ve not seen anything similar before.
Rebecca Nestor
They look perfect for my husband’s poor circulation – he always has cold hands. Do they do them for feet as well?
Gavin
Very handy indeed.
Richard Scrase
Do they steam when it rains? Sauna cycling!
Mark B
They’d be very handy!
Alan
Do they do socks as well?
Carol W
Ooh nice. Just the weather for these 🙂
MARK
Out in the wind, my fingers are always the coldest part of me on my daily bicycle commute. Therefore these would be just PERFECT PLEASE.
Cheers
Tracey
I’ve always had cold hands and often have to wear two pairs of gloves so these would be perfect for me 🙂 🤞
Gillian Watling
Even wearing ski gloves, gripping handlebars can hinder blood circulation to my fingers and make my fingers uncomfortably cold at this time of year, so rather than letting go (!!), a better solution would be these fab gloves.
Thanks for the opportunity ETA.
LawrenceB
My hands have been so cold this week cycling to work. Be nice to win a pair.
Ian Maclean
As a sufferer of Raynauds I couldn’t think of anything better than toasty gloves in my sub-zero commute.
Vick
When I’m hot footing it somewhere, nice to have warm hands too.
Tim Earl
Ooh, they’re so-o-o HOTt!
Yousaf Mirza
Please save me from the excruciating pain of cold numb fingers coming back to life.
Robert Nunney
They’d come in handy when I’m out campaigning for the Green Party.
David
So appropriate with the current weather.
Jane Collier
Oh wow, I’m dreaming of winning these!!!
Sarah
My husband needs these
David
I have a close friend who suffers terribly with Raynaud’s. His hands have been literally purple this last week. It’d be great to win these so I can help make his condition a bit more tolerable!
Paul Miller
These sounds like the gloves of my dreams. In current freezing temperatures I have such cold hands on my bike I can barely hold the handlebars never mind change gear and brake. And that’s wearing 2 pairs of gloves. These would keep me cycling even in sub zero temps.
Andrew Stevens
These are just what my fingers need for my Winter commute.
Thanks,
Mr.Ray Nauds
Fred
Out cycling today with freezing fingers. I need these gloves!
Jill
Perfect for giving other road users a friendly, warm wave 👋
Graham
Could have done with these this week!
Maggie
Just the job to make cycling in the wonderful winter countryside 100 percent enjoyable for my husband!
Abi
I have been waiting for someone to invent these for years and am so excuto read this article!!!
Peter Clark
Great for my wife who has really poor circulation
Sarah
These would work brilliantly to keep me warm.
Lucy
toasty mitts for freezing digits
Owain
Mmmm, lovely 😊
Marta
Would love to have a pair of these!
Stephen
With the separate battery pack, these are most suited to cycling as you could attach the pack to the bike. I’d really love a pair of these to encourage my Mum out again.
(WARM) FINGERS CROSSED!
🙂
Julia M
Would be fantastic inside ski/snowboarding gloves too, on the slopes..
Sara
Would love those heated gloves for my lovely husband who insists on cycling still to work …he cycles over 20 miles a day to work whatever the weather …Cornwall is not flat either…and he has worked in nature conservation for over 30 years….he deserves them doesn’t he?
Alastair Seagroatt
After several below 0°C rides so far this year with wooden fingers, despite triple gloves, these would be just the job. Although I put gloves and winter bike shoes on the radiator before going out, my bad circulation let’s me down.
Lorna Davies
Sometimes my hands get so cold that when I take off my gloves, I feel like my fingers are going fall off too.
Phil
Handy
frank
Raynaud’s phenomenon is a precursor to scleroderma, an. Illness my wife is working in, these gloves would be ideal for sufferers as well as anyone else who has severely compromised circulation in their ✋
Andy Fairhurst
Wow! The gloves sound fantastic. Commuting will never be the same again! Yes, please.
Philip
Just the job when I cannot afford to put the heating on…..
Anthony Rogers
They are what I have been looking for for my wife for some long time.
Kathy C
ETA give such good advice and offers. Warm gloves keep people cycling at all times
Lucy H
Here in East Anglia it’s always colder than the rest of the UK, and my hands go a strange shade of purple and white when I’m cycling. Heated gloves sound dreamy.
Jon Vamplew
(Rainbow song, my wife cycles) Red & pinky and purple and blue, colours I have seen my wife’s hands – oh please give her a pair now, give her a pair now, so her hands aren’t blue..
Simon Randall
As a Raynaud’s sufferer, these look to be the answer to my prayers! No more hands burning with pain.
John Davidson
These would be great for me when I am exercising outdoors in this cold weather.
Pat Hagen
I suffer from Raynaud’s so these would be perfect!
David Price
Sadly they would probably be too small for me. I could give them to my wife to warm her lovely hands.
Eric Robertson
These gloves look really good, could do with a pair!
Peter Chisnall
Warming!
Mike Croker
Hot stuff!
Fergus Duncanson
Fabulous idea! I really want these gloves!
Francesca Elliott
Liz spends her working week looking down a microscope for potential cancer cells so it would be great for her to relax at the weekend by walking her dog wearing the heated gloves to avoid the inevitable frozen fingers of Raynauds and pain of the thaw. Liz is my daughter in law and she would love a pair of these gloves.
Craig
The first few miles of my daily commute are always a challenge for my fingers when it’s sub zero, as it’s been recently. These would help hugely during that warm up period.
Nice idea ETA!
Alan Jones
This would go straight to my partner, for whom driving at this time if year is a minor torture
Paul
Cool (well, warm)
TD
Yes, please. Perfect for my dad on his motorised scooter. He has such problems with cold fingers….Not surprising at 90 years old.
Steve
Fab looking gloves, not too bulky for changing gears too. They would certainly help improve comfort and safety by improving the rider’s braking control. I would add some hi viz to the back of them to get drivers’ attention when signalling. Love um!
Jamie J
Hands down they’re the best accessory this winter…
sarah perry
Great idea!!
Wayne Fox
a BIG (warm) thumbs-up for this idea 🙂
Rod Mark Hewson
Great idea not just on the bike but general wear and dare I say at the allotment
Stevo
Plenty of finger warming comments above, which tug at the finger strings.
I’ll just go with that very bad pun for my entry.
Frida
Already 69 comments 😕 no chance of winning them then 😔
Geoffrey Shaw
Best thing since sliced bread for a Raynaud’s sufferer.
Bryn Gwyndaf Jones
Hot stuff!
Julie Anne Gardner
I have a leg disability that means I need to take the dog 🐶 a walk each morning & evening on my mobility scooter 🛴…. As I don’t move about, I therefore don’t produce any kinetic energy/heat so I am freezing 🥶 by the end of my walks (in particular my hands & toes) … these would be of great benefit… thanks guys
Tim Earl
These would give me a nice warm feeling.
Gary Mosely
These gloves look fab. I cycle to work in all weather conditions and cover over 100 miles per week. I have a collection of gloves for this purpose but heated gloves would be very beneficial to me. Thanks.
