You can ride 1,000 uneventful miles only for the puncture fairy to strike with a vengeance. Nobody knows why, but punctures, like buses, tend to turn up in twos and threes. But however unwelcome an interruption your next puncture will be, you can ensure your roadside pit-stop runs smoothly by carrying the correct tools.
With the weather finally improving and many bikes emerging from winter hibernation, we have five micro saddle bags and puncture repair kits to give away. If you have cycle insurance with us, don’t forget that it includes breakdown cover – if you suffer a mechanical breakdown while our cycling (including punctures), we’ll arrange for you and your bike to be recovered.
Win a DHB micro saddle bag and puncture repair kit
We have two puncture repair kits to give away. Each contains a Topeak Micro Rocket AL Pump, a DHB Micro saddle bag and puncture repair kit. To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave us a message below and we’ll pick a winner next week.
Ethical cycle insurance
On the face of it, one cycle insurance policy is much like another, but the devil is the detail. Check your small print for so-called ‘new-for-old’ replacement – many insurers use the term, but if your bicycle is more than a few years old, devalue it severely. This means you are left out of pocket when you come to replace it.
With ETA cycle insurance, however old the bike, if it’s stolen you get enough to buy a new model. Furthermore, every cycle insurance policy you buy from us helps support the work of the ETA Trust, our charity campaigning for a cleaner, safer transport future. Little wonder The Good Shopping Guide has voted us Britain’s most ethical insurance company.
CRAIG
Great prize, well chosen and never important than at this wet time of year.
Richard Scrase
psssss …. over here please
Cath Palgrave
Of course the only time I got a puncture on my way to work was when I had nothing with me! Oh to have something so convenient! Looks great.
Peter Clark
Love dhb stuff. Top brand
Hugh
A great idea! Hopefully one day bike tyres will be puncture resistant but until then the puncture kit will be an essential.
MARTIN sTEVENS
Great idea. It would be enough to get me back on a bike again (and out of my car!)
Jim Woodlingfield
Great to fix punctures in the go and cut down on the number of inner tubes!
Rue
Sounds like a great piece of kit that might come in handy
Carol W
Nice to be prepared 🙂
Francis Blake
Yeah, been meaning to get one of these for ages – I’ve had too many near misses for comfort. It’s time to ‘be prepared’.
Bill
Excellent idea. This would be really handy to keep on the bike. Fingers crossed…
Steve Green
Boy, do I need one of these!
Gillian
It’s really important to have a puncture repair kit and pump that you trust. I’m a believer in self dependency. I much prefer a micro pump over CO2 canisters.
Thanks for the opportunity ETA, fingers crossed!! 🤞
Gordon Robertson
I would gift to one particular person in our Edinburgh cycling club with thin tyres who gets constant punctures!
They might take the hint to get more puncture proof tyres…
😄😄😆😆😅😅😀
Pamela
Puncture repair kit and pump. All ready to load and go. Superb.
Vic Kearley
Never let a rid go flat!
Vic Kearley
Never let a ride go flat.
Stephen D.
As mentioned in the introduction, punctures, like buses, really do tend to turn up in twos and threes. Such a nuisance, but with this kit, at least I’ll have the confidence of sorting them out.

Sounds a vital part for when the inevitable flats comes
Peter N
Splendid idea. A very practical prize
KathyC
I don’t have a puncture repair kit and should have so would be very welcome if won. I need to check cycle insurance too. Not sure I have any.
Vicky F.
If I win I’m giving the prize to these guys – https://bristol2beijing.org/
Mark Bobbitt
Oh yes please!

Puncture repair is Not my favourite task
So best to be prepared with a new kit!
Richard Newman
Who knows at what juncture I might sustain a puncture.
Mark
I have had great service from both Topeak and DHB products in the past, very nice products.
I’D BE PUMPED TO WIN THIS BUNDLE PLEASE!

Alastair Seagroatt
Hedge cutting has begun round here so this could prove invaluable.

I am about due a puncture. All three bikes now in good nick, so disaster must be imminent. As long as it’s not the rear wheel of my Brompton!
Chris Bromwich
Seems like a no-brainer to me to have one, always be prepared – that’s an engineering viewpoint.
Malcolm
Just coming to the end of the hawthorn cutting season, danger lurks by every hedge. Always keep your puncture repair kit handy
Jamie J
Would help to manage any little pricks I might encounter on the daily commute…
Steve
I’ve had a couple of punctures on dark, frosty mornings this winter despite fitting Gatorskins….. a new pump would be lovely please.
Mike Croker
A free kit would complement my recently acquired ‘free’ (as in “I was going to take it to the tip”) bike nicely.
Peter S
Great stuff and unobtrusive on a light bike – or takes up little room in an old-fashioned saddlebag.
Graham Corfield
If I were to win this then sods law says i wont need it, but if i dont win then its guaranteed I’ll be stranded somewhere!! Dont let that be on your conscience!!
Boyd N
Almost feels like tempting fate to comment, but it would come in handy if the worst comes to the worst.
Mark Minion
Cracking idea – if I win let’s hope I don’t need to use it!
Penny Price
I have been puncture free all winter fortunately perhaps my luck is about to run out, so one of these would be really useful!
Donald Waters
The storms have left even more potholes in the roads than before so puncture repair very important!
T Deave
What more could I want if I get a puncture on some of c…p that is left on the side of the road!?
W Kerslake
This would be super handy!
Bobby B
Yes please!!!
