How many bicycles stolen today

Over 800 bicycles have been stolen today across Britain according to roadclock.com. Compiled and published by the ETA, the Road Clock counter reveals the astonishing amount of resources consumed, and pollution created, as a direct result of the way we travel each day.

MOT test to get tougher

Car exhaust emissions when driving in real world conditions are so much higher than official figures, that the MOT test is to be made considerably tougher. Tests revealed that exhaust gases from diesel cars contain levels of NO2 (a toxic component of NOx) up to 12 times greater than those permitted at the time they were sold.

Car hire without driving licence paper counterpart

The paper counterpart to the driving licence has recently been scrapped, but because it’s the part that showed driving offences, car hire companies now check to see if you have penalty points by viewing online records stored by the DVLA. If you hire a car in Britain or abroad, you may need to give the hire company a code which allows them temporary access to these records.
